Collage — photo collages for Mac

Collage.

Turn a folder of photos into a finished page. Put one photo in the centre and let the rest flow around it, fill a shape or a word, add text and QR codes, and check the result before you print.

A finished collage with a title, a centre photo and a QR code. The photos fill the page and flow around all of them.

Layouts that fill the page.

Every photo is shown whole and undistorted. Collage arranges them to fill the page, and Shuffle gives you a new arrangement with one click.

Free-form layout

An irregular grid that fills the whole page, with adjustable spacing, frames, corner radius and colours.

Shapes and words

Fill a heart, a star or any SVG outline with your photos, or type a word and fill the letters.

Photo mosaic

Tint a grid of photos so the page resembles a picture you choose, with control over strength and tile size.

Batch collages

Make several collages from one set of photos in a single pass.

Photos in a shape, or in a word.

Pick one of the built-in shapes, load your own SVG, or type a few letters. The photos fill the outline and stay inside the page margin you set.

A centre image, anywhere on the page.

Pick one photo to be the focal point. Make it bigger or smaller and move it, and the other photos re-arrange around it so the page stays full.

  • Resize the centre photo with + and −, and move it with the arrow keys
  • Crop it to the part you want
  • The photos around it keep an even size and are never squeezed into slivers

Bring in photos however you like.

Start from wherever your photos already are. Nothing has to be moved or renamed first.

  • Drop files or whole folders onto the window, including subfolders
  • Choose images with the Add button
  • Import from your Photos library
  • Import a whole album from Photos
  • Photos stored in iCloud Drive are downloaded automatically

Text and QR codes.

Add titles and captions with rich text, and QR codes for an online album or a page. A box can make the photos flow around it, so nothing sits underneath.

  • Font, size, bold, italic and colour, per word
  • QR codes for any link or text, in any colour
  • A logo or short text in the centre of a QR code
  • QR codes always stay square
  • Boxes snap flush to the page edge, or keep a clear gap from it

Checks before you print.

Collage tells you about problems you would only otherwise see on paper.

A collage with two warnings shown at the bottom: a QR code too close to the centre photo, and a photo below 150 dpi
Warnings appear over the page as you work.
  • Low resolution: photos that would print below 150 dpi at your page size are flagged, and marked in the Images sidebar
  • Spacing: a QR code or text box left in a thin gap beside the centre photo or the page edge is flagged, because photos get squeezed there
  • Cropping the centre photo is taken into account

Make many collages at once.

Turn a whole library into a set of finished pages in one run, without opening each one.

  • Use your shared Photos albums as the source, or a folder where every subfolder becomes one collage
  • Choose the page size, orientation, margin, spacing and frame once for the whole run
  • Save each collage straight to a folder as PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF or HEIC, in any mix, at the resolution you choose
  • For PDF, choose one file per album or a single PDF with every album as a page
  • It runs separately from the collage you have open

Paper, spacing and export.

Set the page size, margin and spacing, then save the result however you need it.

  • Preset paper sizes, or your own in millimetres or inches
  • A page margin, and spacing and frames you can set to zero for an edge-to-edge page
  • Export as PDF, PNG, JPG, HEIC or TIFF, copy the page to the clipboard, or print directly
  • Undo and redo every change, and save looks as presets
