Ever heard of St. Christoph am Arlberg? I had not till recently when I was visiting my cousin and her boy friend. For lunch we went to the Hospiz-Alm, which offers a spectacular view onto the Alps and - you would never guessed it - has a hugely expensive wine cellar worth 7 million Euros. That's probably why it is secured with a truly huge lock as you can see on one of the images. In fact, today the Hospiz-Alm has the world’s largest magnum bottle cellar for Bordeaux wines with bottles ranging from 3 to something like 18 litres. While they probably know the exact number of bottles, for me it looked like "countless" and what was even more impressive was the fact that the bottles were not just in shelves on the wall but also on the ceiling....
My cousin and her friend are well-connected and so I got the opportunity for a very private tour through the cellar. Of course, I had not expected that and had no tripod with me, but I still managed to take some nice shots with my Lensbaby. I need to go there again some day - with a tripod and some more time.
